Okay, back with Dipromini Mini-Filer experiment #2 😂 This time I’m using the ceramic stones! In my first video I played around with one of the diamond tips, but I was REALLY curious to try the Dipromini with the ceramic stones that started this whole rabbit hole in the first place. For this one I used the 1500 grit yellow New Super Ceramic Stone from @gesswein.jewelry. I had cleaned up some excess solder on the back of this ring using files and a polishing wheel and, in the process, left myself some lovely little grooves and scratches to fix 😂 The 1500 grit ceramic stone did a really nice job refining those scratches, BUT what has me even more interested is thinking about how I could use this tool next time. Because the stone is flat and the Dipromini makes that tiny back-and-forth motion, I can work right up against that solder seam in a really controlled way. So instead of creating the grooves and scratches with a file or polishing wheel and then having to clean them up afterward, I may be able to avoid making them in the first place. THAT is the kind of thing I want to keep experimenting with. I still have the Dipromini on loan from Gesswein, so more experiments are coming! Also, a bunch of you asked me where to find everything.
