@deglation uses a round ball bur to modify her honeycomb soldering surface to custom fit earrings made in production. “When we need to produce large quantities of the same earrings, this little trick saves us an incredible amount of time. We carve small grooves into the surface of a broken soldering brick so the earrings fit perfectly in place. This keeps them completely still while soldering the posts, allowing us to work much faster without having to secure each earring with crosslock tweezers every single time.In this reel, we used our “Home” square sterling silver earrings.” We have shown tips for carving into charcoal and solderite boards before — the difference about honeycomb is it dissipates heat more quickly whereas charcoal would retain heat.
