Argentium VS. Sterling Silver? Comment below ๐ which you use! This is SUCH a helpful breakdown from @jen_surine
โWith Argentium, there was a bit of a learning curve at first, because Argentium acts differently when itโs heated compared to sterling. When itโs hot it can slump, becomes brittle, breaks easily or take on impressions from tweezers or the soldering board. I had to learn not to move it around much when itโs hot. But these negatives are so worth dealing with for all of the positives with Argentium Silver.
Higher silver content. Lower copper content. The bright white finish. It can be heat hardened. Fuses like magic. Tarnish resistant, which means less cleaning your tarnished silver jewelryโฆโ
