“DIY washable sanding sticks” made me laugh… but honestly, it’s kind of true.
Earlier this week I shared a sanding board I made using 3M adhesive-backed micro finishing film, and someone in this community suggested turning it into sanding sticks. I loved the idea, so I wanted to try it and show just how easy it is.
I’m using paint stirring sticks because they’re inexpensive and easy to find — peel, stick, and you’re ready to go. Like I mentioned in the other video, this film is super long-lasting and works really well when used wet. When I’m done, I wipe it down and toss that metal-filled paper towel into my refining bucket so nothing goes to waste.
If you have questions or ideas for how you’d use this film, leave a comment — I truly love learning from this community. And if this was helpful, tap the heart and save it to your jewelry tips folder so you can come back to it later.
