Here is a video of @fasser.michl setting a marquis diamond flush in a band with some tips:

“First, mark the outlines of the stone
By fixing the stone upside down with wax.

For the tips use a very small but and make sure that the tips have enough space.

Put the stone in and press it gently. You have to take away the shiny places, the stone is on these. Until it has the desired depth.

Bright cut as vertical as possible to create a clean edge.”
