Cutting + storing solder so it’s nice and clean ✨ In this reel I’m working with 10k gold sheet solder, and here are a few of my go-to tips:
🔹 I wear a glove—greasy fingerprints can actually stop your solder from flowing nicely.
🔹 I gently sand the solder to clean it up (and of course, make sure my solder seam is clean too).
🔹 Cut the solder inside a plastic bag so little pieces don’t go flying across the room.
🔹 Store it in clear jars and label them—I always know when I’m running low and I can then put it away when I’m done (no more mystery solder all over the bench).
Small habits, big difference at the bench! Hope this helps 💎
