On my quick trip to Reykjavík, Iceland I couldn’t resist popping into a few jewelry studios and shops ✨ The creativity in how jewelers set up their spaces and display their work always inspires me, and I thought you’d love to see some of the ideas too:
1️⃣ In the storefront and studio of @orrifinnjewels the jeweler has transformed old leather belts—to hold hammers around their stump and also wall organizers for hammers and tools. They even incorporated a vintage sewing table iron base into their custom bench build. Functional and beautiful.
2️⃣ In another jewelry store, I noticed an anti-theft display system I’ve seen a few times at shows: you can pick up and try on a ring, but it’s attached to fishing wire with a weight at the bottom. The ring never fully leaves the case—simple, smart, and secure.
3️⃣ I also visited a collective @mjoll where four female goldsmiths share a storefront. They had a permanent jewelry setup right up front, and in the back they have a small bench which has a simple wood counter carved with traditional bench curve— they also utilize their space so well with storage on the walls.
Swipe through the carousel to see these spaces 💫 I left Reykjavík so inspired by the way jewelers there are making their studios and shops both practical and personal.
