“Not all gems are suitable for cast-in-place jewelry. Lab-grown Diamonds, Sapphires, Moissanites and Rubies can generally withstand the heat. ⁣⁣

If you want to have a really clean result when sand casting, make sure to pack the sand as densely as possible within the frame. You can use Vaseline or child-friendly adhesive (I use Giotto Collage available in Europe) to ensure the gems don’t move too much when you pour the molten metal inside the mould.”⁣⁣⁣

𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘁𝗰.
