When soldering a ring shank to a backplate sometimes we end up with excess solder, in those instances I like these “Sanding Detailer Sticks” I’ll share some in my TOOLS story highlights, but you can find them from many retailers! You can get various grits to work yourself up to a nice polish. Prevention is of course the best tip, try to always use the minimal amount of solder for the job but knowing this will happen and having the tools to clean it is super helpful!
