How to get a perfect negative of your engraving to trace. By using block printing ink and tape, I burnish and pull the ink transfer to another piece of tape and then the metal. The end result is that I’ve got a perfect reverse copy of my first engraved scroll.
I first learned this technique from Master Engraver Roger Sampson in Minnesota. I’ve also seen @j.parke1 using graphite and chapstick, I’ve seen @laynezuelke use beeswax, and I’ve seen @master_engraver using his transfer wax mix. Everyone has a different method for achieve the same end result.
