#tooltalktuesday I wanted to show off the Fretz Texture Inserts from
@pepetools_usa this set includes eight hammer inserts: Beach Pebbles, Linen, Rough Slate, Walnut Bark, Stucco, Rainwater, Maple Bark and Waffle. These awesome inserts work with the MKR-7, HMR-7, and HMR-6 hammers. I recommend the MKR-7 or HMR-7 personally, because they are both double ended. These hammers are all interchangeable so this post only begins to scratch the surface on the possibilities. You need to purchase a hammer separately to use these inserts but the investment is well worth it. There is a wide range of steel forming heads and plastic heads for when you don’t want to mar your metal that are interchangeable with the hammers as well. It truly is the most versatile system to invest in. The texturing heads work incredibly well, you can do a more subtle texture but I like to go over the metal a few times and layer it. What I especially like about texturing hammers is you can go back and hammer the solder seam after you solder a ring closed, making the seam invisible.
