@wildasterstudio - “One of my favorite things to use for shapes that I saw frequently, is foam adhesive sheets. I stumbled upon this one day when I couldn't find any paper in my work space, but had a bunch of these for another project...and voilà! You can cut whatever shape you would like and stick it right to your metal. It adds some great cushioning for your thumb and you can use the template over and over again until the adhesive dries up.
