@ficklemejewelry - “I was trying to form an open ring shank for this large band & since I have no ring forming tool I always use my mandrel & rawhide mallet, but every time I’d try to start shaping it the opening would get bigger & bigger. So after brainstorming a bit I decided to try one of those thick produce rubber bands to hold it in place!
