@nancyhoytjewelry - “Just one of the many steps in making jewelry is adding a karat stamp on the back (14k). On this piece the only place that makes sense is the back of the bail which if not supported from the inside, so it would have collapsed under the stamp. Here I used an old needle file which fit inside the bail; with a third-hand and small vise to support all. Dicey at best but it worked!!” I love sharing moments like this where jewelers just do their best to problem solve with what they have on hand.
