Here is a drawer organization/storage tip from @xaviervondesigns - “Working with so many small tools and tool components, I would get so overwhelmed looking for that one item I needed. I would have to nearly empty a drawer (or a couple) to find what I was looking for. I added this simple vanity trays to be bench and it made a huge difference!” Xavier is a Black jeweler and member of our community. Today I’m also showing some of her work and sharing a small part of her story in her words, follow her to see and support her work! How long have you been making jewelry? “I have been making jewelry for about 5 years. It started out primarily as a hobby, taking classes at non-profits. I experimented a lot, trying metal clay, beading, and casting. Finally, learned metal fabrication, which I adore. In the last year and a half, I decided to start transitioning to sell as a part-time business.” What inspires your work the most and what is your favorite piece to create and why? “My style is eclectic. My interests and surroundings inspire my work: Space, Cityscape and Nature. Generally, I like oscillating between abstract and organic pieces. I feel like my reticulation pieces reflect that the most. Making them is like kismet and meditative. They remind me of moonscapes, but also the dessert, and also a worn, neglected city street.” Thank you so much for sharing with us, we all love organization tips 💕 I’ll share her organizers in a story! #jewelrystudio
