Ring rack is probably THE most important accessory for my sonic… holds chain and rings in the sweet spot.
I use it before ANY repair job because jewellery that is worn can get pretty grosssss and if you heat that piece of jewellery before cleaning, whoa. Plus you’d be amazing at what can build up and you want to see exactly what is going on with the metal before you can work out what is going on… Chains looped around the ring rack is pretty much the perfect way to clean a chain.
After polishing, you don’t wanna (expletive) up your mirror shine so into the sonic for a blast and voila fresh clean and ready for hand over.
Removing patina - quick dip in the sonic and your milox blackening is GONE!
FYI - not all stones can go in the sonic depending on their rating on the mohs scale they won’t be able to withstand the temperature or sonic waves.
